I threw this side-handle teapot on the wheel using a speckled stoneware claybody. I fired it to cone 11 in a reduction atmosphere, allowing the oxygen-depleted flame to interact with the minerals in the surfaces of the pot to create subtle shifts in tone and texture. The exterior is finished with a speckled glaze that softens the form while highlighting the clay’s natural character underneath. Inside the pot, I left the clay unglazed so it will develop a patina over years of steeping, deepening the connection between the vessel and your tea practice.

Balanced and comfortable to hold, this teapot weighs 6 oz when empty. With a capacity of 80 ml, it is ideal for concentrated solo tea practice or tasting sessions. The side-handle form is intended for bowl tea ceremony or simply for everyday ritual.
