The stool is shaped from reclaimed old-growth redwood. The form reads as though inflated, holding a lightness within — an aesthetic I first found in teapots and am now finding my way toward in wood.

The zafu is sheepskin from a regenerative grazing project in Ojai, vegetable-tanned without harsh chemicals. We don't overprocess, so you may find wild remnants from the field — a blade of grass, a seed pod, a burr. Hitchhikers from the particular places that nourished each hide.
